NEW THIS YEAR!
Weekly Flower Subscription
Our 2025 Tulip weekly subscription will begin March 22nd, 2025.
Each subscription will include 15 locally-grown tulips, wrapped in brown paper. Bouquets are to be picked up on our farm on Saturdays between 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Orders can be placed online using the link below. The deadline each week will be Wednesday at 10:00 PM.
Bouquet subscriptions make great gifts! To arrange a gift, be sure to make note that this is a gift in the order form and make sure that your email address is included, rather than the recipient!
**Please note that we are not responsible for bouquets that are not picked up or taken in from delivery. Make sure that you are aware of your selected dates so that you never miss a bouquet. We know life can be crazy at times, so we ARE able to accommodate changes as long as you give us 24 hours notice!
How it works
-
Parking
Pull into gravel lot beside the pole barn. DO NOT park in the grass or on the shoulder of the road. Also, please be considerate of others and do not block other cars.
-
Head to the pole barn/get supplies
We will provide shears (you are welcome to bring your own) and water (hose will be next to prep table). Crates/buckets will be available to take with you to the field to allow you a place to put all of your cut flowers. During the week, this will be self-serve (can call Will @ 252-917-1159 if you have questions). On the weekend, Natalie and I will be around to answer questions and provide assistance.
-
Pick your flowers
Walk around the field a few times to see all of the different colors/varieties of flowers available (changes seasonally). Please stay in designated area when picking flowers (subject to change daily based on cutting pressure).
***When picking tulips (March/April), you are welcome to take bulb with the flower to plant at home.
-
Preparing/Arranging the Flowers
Take all of your blooms to the prep table located under the barn. Using the provided shears, cut each stem to the desire length and remove all leaves that will be below water level.
***If keeping bulbs attached to the tulips, you can place them in provided plastic bags for transport***
Cups will be available that you can take your cut flowers home in (they will fit in standard car cup holders). Fill the cup a 1/4 of the way with water and immediately place the stems in the water (ensure the bottom portion of the stem is submerged water).
Pricing will be posted at the barn.

How to properly cut flowers
- Find the desired flower and hold gently just below the blossom.
- With clean sharp scissors, cut one stem at a time. Cut the stem as long as possible (more fit in the vessel and can be trimmed later for bouquets). We recommend cutting the stem as close to the ground as possible.
***For tulips, we recommend grabbing the stem at the base and gently pulling the entire bulb out of the ground. Once out of the ground, we recommend cutting the ste, as close to the bulb as possible.***
- After cutting, remove bottom half of the leaves and immediately place in water.
- Best time to cut the flowers are early morning and late in the afternoon.
-
At home care
- Do not leave flowers in car or in direct sunlight.
- Rinse/clean flower vase with hot soapy water prior to use. Cut fresh flower stem at 45 degree angle immediately before placing in fresh water. This will allow the maximum uptake of water to maintain longevity of the flowers.
- Ensure that all leaves that are below water level are removed prior to putting the flowers in the vase. Leaving leaves in the water promote bacteria growth that will shorten bloom life.
- We recommend changing the water every 2 days and giving the stems a fresh cut on the bottom.
